Portfolio Evaluators

Preliminary: April 25, 2012 by midnight

Final Portfolio revisions: April 12, 2012 by 6PM

The UTeach Portfolio is an assignment through which UTeach students demonstrate specific teaching proficiencies and exhibit mastery in subject matter knowledge. In building a portfolio, UTeach students reflect on and analyze their experiences, select specific artifacts to support their reflections, articulating important concepts in secondary math and science education.

The UTeach Natural Sciences Program relies on outside evaluators to score the portfolio, both at the preliminary and final levels. We value the expertise that classroom teachers bring to this process as they help our pre-service teachers prepare for their future as professional educators.

All portfolios are evaluated online through the Portfolio website. The evaluator goes to the website and reads the submission and evidence and assigns a grade to the submission.

UTeach offers a stipend for evaluators: $75/preliminary portfolio and $125/final portfolio.
