The UTeach network continues to grow and thrive. Here’s where we stand in 2024–2025:

• 1,437 total UTeach Austin graduates
• 89% enter the teaching profession
• 76% remain in the classroom for five years or more
• 63% teach in K–12 schools where a majority of students are economically disadvantaged

UTeach Grad Honored as Texas Teacher of the Year

We are thrilled to share that Chris Mihealsick, a UTeach alum from Round Rock ISD’s Westwood High School, has been named Texas Teacher of the Year for 2025! Chris now represents Texas in the national Teacher of the Year program, exemplifying UTeach’s mission of cultivating outstanding educators and leaders.

Reconnect Through Professional Learning

UTeach Professional Development is now offering fully reimbursed, TEA‑approved online blended-learning courses for educators at Texas public and open‑enrollment charter schools. Whether you're just beginning with blended teaching or ready to explore advanced strategies, our flexible, self‑paced courses help you strengthen student engagement and instructional design alongside other passionate educators.
