  • To log into Workday, visit: https://workday.utexas.edu/login
  • Use the Getting Started with Workday checklist for instructions on viewing your worker profile, updating W-2 selections, editing personal info, and other tasks.

I-9 Verification Process

The Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9) is required by federal U.S. Citizenship law. Employers are required to verify each employee’s identity and eligibility to work in the United States at the time of hire. Every paid employee of the University must complete the Form I-9.

The University of Texas at Austin utilizes the Equifax I-9 Anywhere Process, a secure, online tool to manage the I-9 process and comply with E-Verify requirements to verify an employee’s eligibility to work in the United States.

The Equifax I-9 anywhere process has two sections and takes 5- 10 minutes. It involves:

  • Logging into Workday finding your I-9 task in your inbox
  • Clicking the Equifax link, completing Section 1 online (address, start date, attestation), and then
  • Scheduling a virtual video meeting with an Equifax rep to complete Section 2 by presenting your original documents (see USCIS list of acceptable documents)

IMPORTANT - Your background check and I-9 verification must be completed before your request can be fully processed.

Failure to complete this process by the verification date (listed in Step 2 above) will result in the cancellation of your internship request.

Step 5 : Internship Placement Email
