Vivian Abagiu

Vivian is the Communications Coordinator for the UTeach Institute. She helps improve the reach of UTeach programs by contributing to planning and execution of effective communications and marketing strategies.

She has worked as a communicator, content creator, and strategic partner for over a decade and joined the university in 2015. Vivian enjoys volunteering for equity initiatives and previously served on the College of Natural Sciences Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee.

She is honored to have received the Natural Sciences Staff Excellence award and multiple University Excellence in Communication awards. She has a master’s degree in journalism and a bachelor’s degree in communication.

Interests: Learning about native Texas plants, hiking and gardening.
