UTeach Access is working to help meet this need by paving the way for Texas community college students to continue their studies at UT Austin’s College of Natural Sciences, where you can earn certification to teach middle and high school science or mathematics while simultaneously pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics.
UTeach Access provides transfer-planning guidance and recommended coursework designed to support successful transfer preparation for UTeach Natural Sciences at UT Austin. While enrolled at your community college, you’ll complete foundational STEM and educator preparation coursework aligned with biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics teaching-option degree pathways, helping prepare you for transfer into UTeach Natural Sciences at UT Austin.
